Advanced features
Snapshots
Before making changes on your cloud VPS server, you can create a snapshot. If something goes wrong, you can roll back to a stable state in just a few clicks. This feature is included in the server price.
Web Console
Access your virtual server's console directly from the browser, without plugins, even from a mobile device. With the web console you can install an OS or manage the server if RDP/SSH access is unavailable.
Virtual Private Networks
Combine VPS servers into private networks to build high-availability clusters. By default, each server is isolated, but we provide the option to unite them into an L2 network, even across different XServer locations.
Automatic Backups
Virtual servers are backed up automatically. To restore, simply choose a date and click the button. Daily backups are also available for just $5 per month — reliable protection for your data and services.

VPS Hosting in Bulgaria
Sofia is a convenient spot for a VPS if your project's audience is in the Balkans, Turkey, or Southeastern Europe. From here, routes are short to Romania, Greece, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Turkish operators — a region that Frankfurt or Amsterdam can only reach through long transit legs. Virtual servers here run on the same VMware vSphere platform as the rest of our locations: a new server deploys within minutes, and resources can be adjusted without moving to different hardware.
Bulgaria is also an EU member state, so hosting in Sofia satisfies European jurisdiction requirements too — handy when a project needs both proximity to a Balkan audience and data storage within the European Union.
Why Choose a VPS in Bulgaria
First, regional connectivity. For users in Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Serbia, and Turkey, a server in Sofia delivers noticeably lower latency than sites in Western Europe. For online stores, SaaS services, and APIs, this directly affects responsiveness; for VPNs — connection stability from across the region.
Second, a direct link to Ukraine. In our Bulgarian location, we work with a Ukrainian backbone provider that operates its own channel to Sofia, so latency to Ukrainian users is minimal — noticeably lower than routing through Western Europe. For Ukrainian companies, this is an interesting combination: a server in the EU with fast response times both for audiences in Ukraine and for the southern direction — the Balkans and Turkey.
Third, economics. Bulgaria is traditionally one of the most affordable locations in the EU: hosting costs here are lower than in overheated markets like Germany or the Netherlands, with the same platform and engineering standards. For startups, agencies, and projects running many servers, the difference adds up.
VMware Cloud Platform
As in our other locations, the cloud in Sofia is built on VMware vSphere — an enterprise virtualization platform, not a free hypervisor. The difference shows in critical moments: if a physical node fails, the HA cluster automatically restarts virtual machines on healthy servers, and planned maintenance is handled via live migration — the VPS moves between nodes without service interruption.
The storage layer is built on SSD and NVMe: fast OS boot times, responsive databases, smooth handling of CMS platforms, code repositories, and applications with heavy disk activity. There's enough headroom not just for standard web hosting, but also for demanding dev/test environments, business applications, and multi-tenant SaaS services.
About the Telepoint Data Center
Servers are housed in the Telepoint data center, a TIER III facility in Sofia and one of Bulgaria's main hosting sites. Power, cooling, and network infrastructure are redundant, the facility is under engineering monitoring, and physical access is controlled.
Telepoint also serves as the country's key traffic exchange point: most Bulgarian and regional operators are present here, which simplifies routing and keeps connectivity within the region short and predictable.
XServer Cloud has been in business since 2007. If your project needs an EU-based platform with short routes across the Balkans and Turkey, minimal latency to Ukraine, and sensible pricing — spin up a VPS in Sofia and see for yourself.
